  • The birds’ flight Code, in the Capitoline Museums

    The birds’ flight Code, Leonardo da Vinci’s manuscript of his discoveries on the topic, comes for the first time to Rome, at the Capitoline Museums. The original Code, usually exposed in the Turin’s Royal Library since 1893, is a notebook where the Leonardo wrote and illustrated his studies about flight. Leonardo projected a theory, based on bird watching, from which designed his flying machines. The code is displayed in a weather box. It however allows the visitors to virtually admire it through multimedia touchscreen devices.
